The fourth day of the Every Bite of Food Matters project (Project No: 2023-1-LV02-KA152-YOU-000114359) demonstrated that reducing food waste is closely connected to supporting communities in need. Coordinated by Black Wood Environmental Biedrība, the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Riga, Latvia continued with practical activities that combined sustainability with social responsibility.

Participants began the day with energizing group activities before working together during "Setting the Stand for Food Charity." They planned and organized a food donation initiative, discussing how surplus food can be redistributed instead of being wasted. The activity highlighted the importance of cooperation between individuals, organizations, and local communities in addressing food insecurity.

The "Charitable Journey II" activity gave participants an opportunity to reflect on empathy, inclusion, and responsible consumption. Through teamwork and discussions, they explored how reducing food waste can simultaneously help protect the environment and support vulnerable people.

The daily evaluation reinforced the message that sustainable development is built not only on environmental awareness but also on solidarity, compassion, and active citizenship.
