Keeping the Green Path Alive: Sustainability After the Project

The Erasmus+ youth exchange “Youth Forging Green Paths Together” (2025-3-LV02-KA152-YOU-000368450) officially concluded in April, but the project's goals and learning outcomes continue to inspire further activities.
Sustainability was an important principle throughout the project. The aim was not only to provide participants with information about environmental challenges, but also to encourage them to carry their learning into their daily lives and local communities.
The international experience in Riga created a strong foundation for continued cooperation among young people from Latvia, Türkiye, Italy, Greece, and Hungary. The connections established during the project can provide opportunities for future exchange, cooperation, and joint initiatives around environmental and youth-related topics.
The knowledge gained during the mobility can also be applied beyond the project itself. Participants explored practical approaches to reducing their ecological footprint, protecting water resources, understanding biodiversity, recognising environmental misinformation, and making more environmentally responsible choices.
Another important element of sustainability is the continued sharing of project results. By communicating the experiences and outcomes of the mobility through websites, social media, local activities, and personal networks, participants can help raise awareness among wider audiences.
As the hosting organisation in Latvia, we are pleased to have provided a space where young people from different countries could learn, exchange ideas, and develop a shared perspective on environmental challenges.
Youth Forging Green Paths Together may have reached the end of its implementation phase, but its green path continues through the participants, the knowledge they gained, the connections they established, and the actions they may take in their communities.
We believe that meaningful change begins with learning, grows through cooperation, and becomes sustainable when people turn knowledge into action.
