From Learning to Action: The Impact of Youth Forging Green Paths Together

Several months after the completion of the Erasmus+ youth exchange “Youth Forging Green Paths Together” (2025-3-LV02-KA152-YOU-000368450), we continue to focus on the impact created by the project and the ways in which its learning outcomes can be transferred to everyday life.
The project aimed to go beyond increasing participants' environmental knowledge. It sought to strengthen their ability to think critically about environmental challenges, communicate their ideas, cooperate with others, and become more active in their communities.
During the mobility in Riga, participants explored environmental issues through interactive and participatory activities. They discussed ecological interdependence, climate change, biodiversity, water consumption, ecological footprints, endangered species, and environmental misconceptions.
These learning experiences encouraged participants to reconsider the relationship between their everyday choices and the wider environment. By connecting global environmental challenges with local realities, participants were encouraged to identify practical and realistic ways of contributing to environmental protection.
Another important aspect of the project's impact was intercultural learning. Bringing together young people from Latvia, Türkiye, Italy, Greece, and Hungary created opportunities for participants to exchange experiences and develop a broader understanding of how environmental issues are perceived in different communities.
The project's impact therefore extends beyond the week spent together in Riga. The knowledge, competences, friendships, and international connections developed during the mobility can continue to support participants in their future educational, social, and environmental activities.
Through continued follow-up and dissemination, we aim to maintain this momentum and encourage young people to transform learning into meaningful participation and action.
