On the third day of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project 2025-3-LV02-KA152-YOU-000368450, currently taking place in Riga, Latvia, participants explored how individual lifestyle choices impact the environment and increased their awareness of sustainable living practices.

The day began with the “Water Wisdom: Exploring Our Most Precious Resource” activity, organized under the coordination of Black Wood Environmental Biedrība. During the session, participants examined the water cycle, discussed the importance of protecting water resources, and reflected on their daily water consumption habits. Through collaborative discussions and group work, they developed creative ideas and practical strategies for water conservation and sustainable water use.

Later in the day, participants took part in the “Walking Lighter” activity, which introduced the concept of the ecological footprint. Young people analyzed their consumption habits and calculated how their lifestyle choices affect the environment. They also explored practical actions they can implement in their daily lives to reduce their environmental impact and adopt more sustainable behaviors.

Through these activities, participants gained a deeper understanding of the connection between personal choices and global environmental challenges. The sessions encouraged them to recognize the importance of individual responsibility in addressing environmental issues and inspired them to take concrete steps toward a more sustainable lifestyle.
