Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future: Our New Forestry and Environmental Leadership Project!

We are proud to announce that we are officially part of the project “Promoting Youth Leadership in Forestry and Environmental Entrepreneurship” (Reference No: 2024-1-TR01-KA220-YOU-000254161), led by the Chamber of Forest Engineers of Türkiye. This initiative aims to empower young people to become future leaders in sustainable forestry and environmental protection while equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to pursue careers in these vital sectors.

In a world where rapid population growth, urbanization, and changing consumption patterns continue to put pressure on natural resources, the need for environmentally conscious leadership has never been greater. Global challenges such as climate change, deforestation, water scarcity, and food insecurity highlight the urgency of action. This project was developed in response to these pressing issues, with a strong motivation to contribute to a more sustainable and livable future.

Together with our international partners: DOVES (Slovenia), CTFC (Spain), Poland Equal Rights Association (Poland), and Black Wood Environmental Association (Latvia). We are working collaboratively to design impactful educational strategies and activities. These include training workshops, youth engagement events, environmental campaigns, and the development of educational materials such as guides and online resources. Each partner contributes unique expertise, from scientific research and forestry practices to youth participation and awareness-raising initiatives.

In addition, the project promotes awareness around sustainable living practices, including supporting natural and non-harmful food production, encouraging clean and fair food consumption, promoting seasonal and local nutrition, and strengthening local producers and family farms. By engaging young people in these topics, we aim to inspire a new generation of environmentally responsible leaders who will actively shape a greener future.
